Wide range of products and services
Our services range from planning via development and production to comprehensive integration of cooling systems. Our product range consists of water coolers as well as coolant- and air-cooled charge air coolers, oil coolers for engine, gearbox, and hydraulic oil, and as well as fuel coolers, condensers, fans, and hydraulic fan drives and equalizing tanks. MAHLE Behr Industry realizes suitable solutions for every requirement profile in the form of individual components, cooling modules, or complete cooling systems. As an innovation leader in thermal management, we also integrate vehicle air conditioning interfaces in engine cooling systems.
Monoblock—compact size and with high performance
Our specific strength lies in the design and construction of ready-to-use all-inclusive aggregates. All components, such as heat exchangers, fans, electric or hydraulic fan drives, coolant pumps, equalizing tanks, and integrated sensor systems to monitor and regulate temperature, mass flow, pressure, or coolant level, are optimally coordinated. In our choice of components, we specify the optimal design for the respective application, which can range from bar & blade, tube & fin, blade & fin, and round-pipe heat exchangers to disc coolers for oil, charge air, and coolant. Whenever technically feasible, we use our patented monoblock heat exchanger. This system integrates in one cooler block two or more separate cooling circuits on the fluid side, with a continuous heat fin on the exterior. This combination delivers high performance at minimum installation space.
Efficient cooling of power electronics
The efficient cooling of power electronics components is becoming increasingly important due to, for example, the constantly increasing requirements on the power semiconductors used in the converters.
For more than ten years, we have been developing cooling systems for power electronics and manufacturing cooling boxes with refrigerant and coolant flow-through, heat sinks, and cooling plates made of aluminum in a wide range of designs for semiconductor components, using a fluxing agent-free vacuum soldering process. In addition, we provide heat exchangers for cooling electronic control cabinets.
