As a systems partner MAHLE Behr Industry develops innovative and functional solutions to cool railway vehicles.

For over 70 years, MAHLE Behr Industry has provided optimal cooling systems for a wide range of railway vehicles powered by electricity or by diesel fuel (Innovation & aulity). In locomotives, our cooling units are integrated in either the roof, the machine room, or the front end. For railcars and high-speed trains, we supply solutions incorporated in the roof or underfloor area and lateral cooling systems for installation in the superstructure.

Diesel-powered vehicles
To cool diesel-powered railway vehicles, MAHLE Behr Industry manufactures engine and transmission cooling units for diesel-hydraulic vehicles, and engine and power converter cooling units for diesel-electric vehicles.


Electrically powered vehicles
Wherever electrical energy powers railway vehicles, heat loss has to be dissipated. MAHLE Behr Industry supplies efficient cooling systems for transformers, power converters, traction engines and electronics.
